Dr. Merandi Headshot

Get To Know Dr. Merandi

Dr. Merandi earned her undergraduate degree in 2001, majoring in Art & Design while attending the University of Notre Dame on a volleyball scholarship. She received her master’s degree in Education in 2003 and enjoyed many years as a visual arts educator and volleyball coach. After being a part of several service organizations over the years, Dr. Merandi realized she could combine her love of art and serving others as a healthcare provider in the wonderful field of dentistry. Designing and improving smiles became her passion.

She graduated from The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2018. Her non-traditional path to dentistry combines a personal approach to patient care, an artist’s attention to detail, and a passion for lifelong learning. Patients appreciate her down-to-earth demeanor and sincere desire to help others. Dr. Merandi enjoys all aspects of dentistry and educating patients to improve both their oral and overall systemic health.

Dr. Merandi is a native Texan who loves the outdoor lifestyle of Georgia (although she still roots for the Astros!) When not tending to smiles, she can most likely be found on the sidelines of one of her boys’ sporting events or working on a renovation project with her husband and three sons.

Our Team

At DownEast Smile Company, we work hard together and enjoy spending time with each other. Our team loves to laugh and encourage others. We want our patients to have a first-class experience in an environment that doesn’t feel anything like a traditional dental office. We want our patients to feel like family, and our mission is to treat patients how we would want our family to be treated.

What to Expect

During your first visit, you’ll sit down with Dr. Merandi for a one-on-one meeting in our comfortable consultation room. Then, we’ll take you on a tour of the office, and bring you to your treatment room for your first appointment. We’ll take the time to answer any questions you may have, and do everything we can to ensure your comfort during your visit!

Amenities & Technology

We believe part of creating the ultimate patient experience is to use the latest dental technology and offer amenities that calm your nerves and help you relax.

Settle into your massaging dental chair and enjoy watching TV with our noise-canceling headphones.

Guided implant surgeries mean precise placement, an improved patient experience, and decreased healing time. Implants can replace a single tooth or an entire arch!

Make a date with friends and enjoy a fun get-together in our Whitening & Botox Lounge. Whether it’s a bridal party or a ladies' afternoon, we can pamper your party and help you feel your best.

Digital orthodontic scanners create a computerized 3D model of your mouth. Dr. Merandi takes this scan and designs a clear aligner treatment plan that uses the least amount of movements. This means faster treatment times and a more comfortable experience overall.

Our CBCT imaging creates detailed images that let Dr. Merandi create precise treatment plans for dental implants and other procedures that require precise placement.

3D printers have become popular in all areas of science and that applies to dentistry too! We can 3D print crowns, bridges, dentures, nightguards, mouthguards, and more in less time than many traditional appointments.

Don’t forget to grab an awesome patient gift bag filled with goodies to help you care for your mouth between visits.

Our Give

DownEast Smile Company is proud to support a local store in Cartersville called LOVE. As part of a larger organization called LIVE2540, LOVE is committed to the restoration of hope and health for the abused and abandoned, the hungry, and the sick in Africa. With each purchase of a shirt, they provide 36 meals for a child. Our team chooses different colored shirts to wear as a team to show our support and raise money for this amazing organization.
